Staff very pleasant and accommodatiing. we ate twice in restaurant for evening meal the staff in there very friendly and looked after us well 😃 Would also give Deepak a mention as we lost the key to a suitcase and he managed to break the lock and saved the day ..Thank you very much Deepak😃 Loved the area and Would have liked to stay another night but unfortunately they were fully booked...would recommend Kingsgate although it does need updating slightly .. I guess the price reflects the rooms

Good location on the lakefront a short walk from the centre of Te Anau, visitor centre etc. Helpful staff. The seating area in Reception with books was a nice touch. Clean and comfortable rooms (bed very comfy). Good hospitality tray and toiletries. Appreciated the fridge. We had dinner and breakfast at the attached restaurant overlooking the lake, and were very impressed with both the food and the staff.

We were only briefly staying and passing through to go to the Milford Sound, so it was worth the money spent for what we needed. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, especially when I left my ring behind and called them up - I asked them if they could post it to my home back in Australia, which they obliged. Great service! Breakfast buffet was also amazing! The beds were extremely comfortable!!

We came during off season, so mostly had the place to ourselves! The hotel restaurant still opened for us, and we were treated with the best customer service by the staff! The food was amazing, the fireplace was warm, and the staff were very attentive and personable. Super close location to the lake (with beautiful views), and really comfy beds!

The room was clean, space was good enough. The hidden drawer for the tea/coffee and the fridge gives the illusion of a minimalist design (but guests who don’t check might think that there is none provided). Breakfast option was tasty enough but would appreciate if there were more options.
